Sticks And Stones Will Break My Bones And Words Will Hurt Me

Discrimination-the unjust or prejudicial treatment of different categories of people or things, esp. on the grounds of race, age, or sex.
Though people don't see this, discrimination, happens everywhere all the time. In fashion, people get discriminated, all the time just because of what they wear. People are discriminated on things that they could never change, now the world has developed more and more things such as skin colour can be changed. This is changing who you are.
'Edward Scissorhands' is a film that deals with this issue, a man with scissors as hands, wearing a leather suit, who can do marvellous things yet people call him a freak.

I love this film because it address' this issue, and though most people find him 'weird' there are a selective few, who look past it and care for him. I also love this film because of the atmosphere. It is classically american with pastel coloured houses and the community in which words travel as quick as fire spreads. I mean I also have a love of this film due to my love for Johnny Depp but that is a different matter.. It is hard to imagine myself in that sort of surrounding they have in the film, it all seems so enclosed. Everything and every detail is paid attention to, the clothes and the housing matches perfectly.
As you can see here below, the housing and the wide streets.

The last thing I love about this film is the contrast between edward and the people, especially the clothing, I would of loved to have been in an era were you could  wear clothes like the ladies in this film, where everything is bright and there are weird patterns and no one minds. Edward with all his leather and straps, I also love, it reminds me of the gothic issue I addressed below.

Its the sense of friendship that isn't really there, that is false. But no one really minds, as everyone wants to be one of them, one of the group, this reminds me of life at school at the moment the fake friends and the secret judging. Luckily, we will grow out of it, in this film they seem to have not done that.

Fashion relevance to this subject...
